I am retiring from cycling

I went out to my garage today and saw that I had yet another flat on my bike! These are a different set of wheels that I was getting flats on before. I have made the decision that I must retire from cycling, because I simply can't afford tubes. My tube bill at Rubber Soul Bike shop is $7,899.32 I have come to the conclusion that I will need to get 7 more jobs to pay off my debt and I now will not have enough time to train. It's been wonderful and have a nice life

I think your mom's sneaking out at night and letting the air out of your tires. I think it's her way of getting you to stop racing. It's either that or all the damn tacks you keep laying around your driveway.

It'll be better when a number is pinned on eh?

I need Curtis "The Guru" Eastin or maybe the Boschinator to teach me how to use a patch kit!

I will admit that I don't help the problem because when I get a flat Vinny is usually nice and fixes it for me (even though I beg him not to so that I can be faster at fixing my own flat). So between the two of us that is a lot of flats!! But it will take more than some flat tires for this guy to give up cycling!!

I have been running armadillo elites with Mr Tuffy inside (a lot of dark riding)....

these babies are so rock solid that I don't even brush the glass off my tire anymore....

I do always feel like I am riding into a headwind though, but it just gives me more motivation to train harder since I don't have flux capacitor to tell my power actually is....

Can I have your new jerseys?

The tuffy liners are a good idea for the training tires. I mean who gives a sh*t it's just training! I also don't have a flux capacitor, not in my budget right now and probably never will be unfortunately...
Hey Tim why you want my new jerseys?? what medium doesn't fit you? I got size small, I don't think anybody can fit into that except for maybe Davis Bosch

Ditto what jandy said on the Armadillos. I put on the 25c ones and it feels like they just crush anything in my path, kinda like a Hummer. But since you (Vinnie) and I ride the same bike, or at least we did, I should warn you that they barely fit throught the fork and under the rear brake mount. It's kind of cool though, because the frame and fork knock off all the mud and junk.

Good luck at Blvd.
